Yesterday afternoon at around 1:00 pm, a resident of the 100 block of Central Ave., called 911 to report that a man unknown to her had appeared at her back door. When she confronted him, he portrayed that he was “looking for directions, allegedly, for Milton Academy.” After giving him directions, she observed him walk away from her home in the totally opposite direction.”

These folks were selected ” for their outstanding leadership, efforts to improve the environment and positive impact on the lives of others in their community.” Three make contributions here in Milton: Lisa Fasano (Principal St, Mary of the Hills), James Lafond Lewis (Fowl Meadow), and Pauline Wells (Resident & member of Cambridge Police Dept).

Milton Democrats Welcome Candidates for Statewide Office in 2014

On Sunday, September, 15, 2013, the Milton Democratic Town Committee hosted a barbecue and invited all of the Democratic candidates running for statewide office in 2014. An enthusiastic crowd of more than sixty Milton democrats welcomed candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Treasurer, along with sitting Congressman Michael Capuano, Senator Brian Joyce and Governor’s Councilor Robert Jubinville.

Myles Connor, the career criminal who recently spoke at the Milton Art Center, has a brother.  People flocked to hear Myles speak; but it is the brother who some may find more interesting and certainly more exemplary. He is a priest. Before that, like his father, he was a cop. Here is a video featuring Father Connor.

Free pumpkin painting at Farmers’ Market

The Milton Farmers’ Market will feature Pumpkin Painting-free for 12 and under – this Thursday (October 3) and next  October 10 from  1 to 6 PM at the Milton Farmers’ Market. And there are bike coupons too for those arriving on bike wearing a helmet. This is in addition to the variety of fresh produces, baked goods, and fish.
