Talk: What is Sustainability?
April is Sustainabilty month April is Curry College. There will be a series of lectures and films on Sustainability inclduing cliamte change, environmental justice and agricultre. Milton’s Sarah Mills, President of Sustainable Milton, will discuss ‘What is Sustainability?’ on Tues. Apr. 5 6:30pm in the President’s Dining Room, Curry College. The Collicot Parent-Teacher Organization is sponsoring an event to help support the earthquake and tsunami relief effort in Japan. The entire Milton Public Schools community is being asked to attend “Paper Cranes for Japan” at the Milton Public Library on Wednesday, April 6 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Milton Hospital to Host Diabetic Health Assessment Fair
Learn how to better manage diabetes, a disease that affects 25.8 million people in the US according to information data from the 2011 National Diabetes Fact Sheet released January 26, 2011. In fact, 1.9 million people over the ages of 20 were newly diagnosed with the disease in 2010.

Patrick-Murray calling for volunteers for annual DCR park clean-up
The Department of Conservation and Recreation’s (DCR) fifth annual Park Serve Day will be on Saturday, April 16, in state parks and beaches across the Commonwealth. Since 2007, thousands of volunteers have participated in dozens of projects each spring, including picking up litter along ocean beaches, clearing debris from hiking trails, painting benches, and planting trees and flowers at picnic areas.
