2nd Annual Fundraiser for Milton Teens in Need

Milton’s Teens in Need, a grass roots aid organization aimed at providing financial assistance to teenagers throughout our community, will be holding their 2nd Annual Fundraiser on November 24, 2012 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Milton Woman’s Club (90 Reedsdale Road). Milton Public Library to Host Holiday Jazz Concert

The Milton Public Library will host jazz vocalist Peter Smith and his band on Saturday, December 1st at 2 PM for a holiday concert. The Peter Smith Trio, featuring Yas Ishibashi on keyboards and Ralph Pepe on acoustic bass, present a wonderful program of songs from the Great American Songbook. Front-man Smith is equally adept at the swinging standards as he is delivering a soft ballad.

Movie @ the MPL: “Liberty Heights”

On Thursday, December 6th at 6:15 PM, the Milton Public Library will show “Liberty Heights,”  the last film in our “Segregated Worlds” series, to support Milton Reads‘ program related to the book To Kill A Mockingbird.  Milton middle school teacher Jeff Stoodt will moderate and give a trivia quiz related to the movie at 6:15, and the screening will be at 6:30 sharp in the Keys Community Room of the library (lower level).  

Milton Historical Society Open House

The Milton Historical Society cordially invites you to attend our annual HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the historic Suffolk Resolves House, 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton, which will be festively decorated for the holiday season.

Dog Sled Fun Run

Meet a furry sled dog up close and personal! The Yankee Siberian Husky Club and the Boston Snow Dogs will host an educational presentation on dog sledding in New England. See these canine athletes in training before the busy winter season. Demonstrations with wheeled rigs, if weather permits.

Lower Mills Holiday Stroll

The Lower Mills Merchants Association invites you to partake in their annual Holiday Stroll. There will be free trolley stops that include: Carney Hospital, St. Gregory’s Hall, Baer Artists lofts, Milton Village, the Forbes House Museum, and the Central Ave Business District.

The Fuller Village Craft Fair is Coming!

Come to the Fuller Village Fair on Saturday, November 17th in the Function Room at 1372 Brush Hill Rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Find great holiday gifts, jewelry, home decorations, hand knit items, toys, books, home baked delicacies, Milton Memorabilia, clothing and accessories for all ages!

Turkey Trot

The annual Turkey Trot, a 3.2 mile run/walk/bike ride that begins and ends at Turners Pond will take place again this year. You can drop donations in a jar in the parking lot. The proceeds go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Milton resident Theresa Haley. It starts at 8:00am so you have plenty of time to get back and stuff the bird,
