About the November Topic:

The Battle of Chancellorsville was a fascinating victory by the Confederates. Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee took an audacious chance by splitting their under-manned forces. This allowed Jackson to launch a surprise attack on the Federals flank, leading to a resounding victory by the Confederates. However, this battle had an unfortunate outcome for Confederates, since Jackson was shot by his own troops and died soon after. His leadership was never replaced.
