This Tuesday is Veteran’s Day. We received some photos of Milton students paying tribute to our veterans. Glover students placed flags (left). Granite Ave Study work concluded; parcel likely to remain with DOT

The Granite Avenue Study Committee voted their final recommendations last night and at the same time learned that the parcel they had under review in anticipation the town might acquire it is likely to remain with the Department of Transportation. Bryan Furze, Chair of the committee, informed the group that he had been told the DOT would retain the property for equipment storage due to the expansion of the Convention Center. 

A Big Week of festive events at St. Mary of the Hills School!

Parents were invited to a Principal’s Coffee with Mary Carberry in the morning to chat and enjoy bagels graciously donated by Brueger’s Bagels in East Milton.

Iron Chef Jr II – It was the bomb!

Last year School Committee member Becky Padera had a cool idea. In a nutshell – host an Iron Chef competition for kids. This is the second year of the event and the photos speak for themselves. There were teams of 3 elementary school students who were  joined by a local chef to prepare a meal from a “secret basket” of ingredients. Reminder – Legally Blonde being performed Milton High!

Bellwethers: Quincy, Milton and Hull again go with the winner in governor’s race

Three local communities – Quincy, Milton and Hull – that have a habit of backing the winner in the state’s gubernatorial race have done so again, choosing Republican Charlie Baker over Democrat Martha Coakley. Four years ago, all three had rejected Baker and voted for Democrat Deval Patrick. (Read the full story here.)
