Fontbonne Academy is partnering with Project Linus, a non-profit organization run locally by Milton resident Nancy Kearns, which supplies hand-made blankets to children who are seriously ill or experiencing hardships.
Hearing: Stretch Energy Code
The Board of Selectmen will be holding an open hearing on Stretch Codes for buildings and home additions. The stretch codes pertain to the use of energy saving materials and techniques in building construction.
Town awarded 5 year permit for Ulin Rink from the DCR
Yesterday afternoon Marion McEttrick, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, along with Town Administrator Kevin Mearn and Planning Director Bill Clark met with senior DCR staff to discuss Milton’s response to an RFP to grant a 5 year permit to manage the Ulin Rink. It has been a long time coming. The DCR granted Milton 5 extensions to the respond to the RFP which was issued in January of this year.

Pat Bryan’s team has been a model of consistency the past few years, and Milton kept the trend going, moving on to the states by advancing out of a sectional field that included South Attleboro, Sandwich and Brockton. (Read the full story here.)
Milton’s Rich Hill is rebounding as PawSox reliever

Rich Hill, the pride of Milton, is 1-0 with a 3.38 earned-run average in seven relief appearances for the Pawtucket Red Sox. After signing with the PawSox on June 30, the 30-year-old lefty shined in his debut on July 1, striking out three and allowing one hit in 2 2/3 innings. Since then, he has allowed four runs on 11 hits, struck out 10, and walked 11 batters in eight innings. (Read the full story here.)
Public Hearing: Hendries building re-development

Milton Legion team prepares for state tournament
