Hearing: Stretch Energy Code

The Board of Selectmen will be holding an open hearing on Stretch Codes for buildings and home additions. The stretch codes pertain to the use of energy saving materials and techniques in building construction. Municipal adoption of stretch codes are one of five criteria that towns need to have in place to qualify as a Green Community. The state has awarded $8.1 million to town that have qualified as green communities. See state press release here.
