A recently formed group of Milton school parents, the Milton Visual Arts Alliance, conducted a survey recently to gauge parents knowledge of the state of arts instruction in the school and their support for visual arts as an important and fundamental part of the curriclum.

Milton police may have gotten a break in the case of the unidentified body that was dumped on a quiet street in that town earlier this week. Chief Richard Wells said today that police are investigating whether the body is linked with a missing North Carolina teen. (read the full story here.)

When police burst into the Milton home in which 23-year-old Kerby Revelus was stabbing his siblings last year, they came upon “unspeakable violence” but managed to rescue a terrified 9-year-old girl, shooting her brother before he could extinguish her life, officials said yesterday.
Last night the School Administration began to draw a picture of what is being described as a bleak fiscal year. The Warrant Committee has requested that the schools provide a level funded budget. That is, make do in FY12 with the same amount that was available in FY11. To do that the schools need to cut $1.7 million in services.
Early this month the solar panels that have been installed on the roof of Town Hall went into operation.
