The Milton High School Athletic department will be a bottle and can drive at the front of the high school on December 4th from 9:00 – 12:00. Great opportunity to clean up from all those Thanksgiving festivities!

Mass DOT repairs Ponkapoag bridge in Milton

This may be more than you want to know about the repairs on the Ponky bridge that have detoured traffic all summer; but it is a good effort by the DOT to be transparent and inform the community about what we done.

The cheerful card arrived unexpectedly in the mail, hand-written, stirring memories of 30 years ago. It was from Eleanor Reidy, who lived in Quincy most of her life, from age 8 until she was nearly 90. I met her in the 1970s, when I did my banking at Presidential Cooperative Bank; she was the secretary for Frank McCauley, the bank’s president. (Read the full story here.)

Boy Scouts launch wreath sale

If you need a wreath, the boy scouts can supply it. They are selling wreaths today and next week end at two locations:  the Gas Station, 940 Canton Ave., Cunningham Park along Edgehill Road and at St. Mary’s of the Hills Church from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
