The 2010 Eco Team Challenge has begun! Fourteen teams have been started, and several have held their first meetings already. All participants are on their way to learning more about saving energy and saving money.
Eco Teams consist of representatives from four to five families who meet for an hour 3 – 4 times between now and March 31, 2011. It’s an opportunity to check in with friends and neighbors while learning about all the various ways to save energy together.
Other families that participated in the Eco Team Challenge saved an average of over $600 per year (that’s $100.00/hr invested). In addition, each family signing up for this FREE program receives a 10% discount card for Curry Ace Hardware for energy saving products, plus a free energy audit from Next Step Living.
It’s not too late to join and start $aving on your bills. You could become MILTON’S BIGGEST CARBON LOSER and win one of many great prizes!

- Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm
All the workshops are at the Milton Public Library.
Things to bring to the workshop:
- Electric and gas utility bills, or a download of your usage and cost per month, between October 2009 and September 2010
- Oil burners will need their oil usage (gallons and cost) over the same periodSummertime grill masters – propane use
- Automobile miles driven and estimated MPGs for each of your vehicles
- Travel miles by plane, train, and ship (or boat if you’re so lucky to have one)
- Amount of trash that your household generates per week or month
- Water usage (and cost)
- Exterior dimensions of your house and total square feet of heated living space in your house
- Copy of Low Carbon Diet workbook, if you have it
- Your laptop computer if available
