East Congregational Church to hold “Blue” Christmas Service

The East Congregational Church will be holding a “Blue” Christmas service, a simple service designed for those who have difficulty embracing the excitement and heightened celebrant joy of the season due to the experience of loss over the past years.  At this service the hectic commercialism of the season is let go and people are given a sacred space to acknowledge their grief and pain, honoring the memories of loved ones now gone and celebrating the endurance of love.

The Rev. Eric Marean will lead this service that will consist of readings, prayer, silence, and the lighting of memorial votive candles.

The service will be held on Wednesday Evening, December 1st,  at 7:00pm  in the Chapel at the East Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. The public is invited.

East Congregational Church is located at 610 Adams Street in Milton; telephone 617-698-0270; www.eastchurch.org.

The Chapel on the second floor is accessible from the parking lot. The church is wheelchair accessible and is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United
Church of Christ.
