Meeting: Board of Selectmen

The Milton Board of Selectmen will be meeting this evening, Thursday, March 12 at 7:00PM in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall. The agenda includes but is not limited to a discussion of The Plate/Liquor license home rule petition, an annual report on Ulin Rink from Curry College, and a discussion of Chap 40B/1.5% land determination.

MBTA offers free fares to make up for service failures

To make up for the commuting issues its riders faced during the snowstorms this winter, the MBTA is offering free rides for one day during school vacation week (when many commuters aren’t working) and 15 percent discounts on May commuter rail passes. You can find Globe coverage here.

Off to the races – your 2015 candidates for town office

The nomination papers are in and have been certified by the town clerk. There are three races that will be contested (Selectmen, Library, Schools, and Park Commissioner). Election day is April 28th (more info here). There are 8 uncontested races. Your candidates for town wide offices are:

Run Milton postponed until October

The second annual Run Milton half marathon has been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 4. 2015. The race will start at 8 a.m. at 525 Canton Avenue in Milton. (Read the full story here.)

For Medfield player, a miraculous sequence of events
