Parents and educators are invited to join the Milton SEPAC March 24th from 7-9pm at Pierce Middle school for a discussion of how to identify and manage anxiety in children of all ages and abilities. Guest speaker Dr. Angela Currie will address what teachers and parents can do to help prevent or alleviate stress for all students.

Forbes House Museum to hold Annual Victorian Egg Hunt
The 5TH Annual Victorian Egg Hunt will take place on the grounds of the Forbes House Museum on Saturday, 28 March, beginning promptly at 1pm. Children ages 3- 8 are welcome. Hundreds of eggs will be hidden on the east and west lawns of the estate. The Museum will hide colorful plastic eggs containing toy surprises!
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton Announces Sixth Annual Diabetes Fair
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton will hold its sixth annual spring Diabetes Fair on Saturday, April 18, from 10am until 1pm.
This year’s event will include information from a panel of exhibitors, blood pressure checks and free foot screenings provided by Podiatrist Joel Chariton, DPM.

Frank thoughts on the Ulin Rink

At the risk of walking onto thin ice, here are some thoughts on moving forward with the Ulin rink which is more than a bit of a sticky wicket for the town. This dramatic municipal miniseries has a long cast of characters (DCR, Town Planner Bill Clark, Friends of Ulin rink, Selectman Tom Hurley, Curry College, Senator Joyce, Representative Tiimilty) and a plot laced with suspicion. But there are no bad guys. . . there’s just no money.
BBJ ranking of towns by property tax
The Boston Business Journal recently published a ranking of towns based on property tax rates. Milton ranks 233rd out of 336 municipaities which may come as a bit of a surprise.
Milton Dentists Offer Free Dental Sealants to Underserved Children
The American Dental Association launched the Give Kids A Smile Program nationally in 2003 as a way for dentists across the country to join with others in their community to provide dental services to underserved children. Each year dentists and team members volunteer their time and services to approximately 450,000 children across the nation.
During the month of March, Drs. Kimberly and David Harte will provide free dental sealants to the children of any family finding themselves financially challenged due to the economy or insufficientdental converage.
