Forbes House Museum to hold Annual Victorian Egg Hunt

The 5TH Annual Victorian Egg Hunt will take place on the grounds of the Forbes House Museum on Saturday, 28 March, beginning promptly at 1pm. Children ages 3- 8 are welcome. Hundreds of eggs will be hidden on the east and west lawns of the estate. The Museum will hide colorful plastic eggs containing toy surprises!

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Parents/grandparents should call the Museum at 617.696.1815 by Friday, 27 March at 5pm to pre-register. Admission is $10 per child; two or more children are $8 each. Admission includes a colorful handle basket to gather eggs. The handle basket will contain a number of special gifts prior to the commencement of the hunt.

Egg hunters and their parent arrive at the Museum 30 minutes early to check- in and receive handle baskets.

After the Hunt, Christopher C. Strunk, Children’s Librarian from the Boston Public Library at Codman Square, will offer a story hour on the Museum’s south porch.  Christopher will read a selection of children’s favorite spring time stories. Light refreshments will be served, and prizes will be drawn from among participating egg hunters!

The Victorian Egg Hunt is sponsored by The Ice Creamsmith, Lower Mills, Pro Forma Printing and Promotion, Milton/Walpole, and the Boston Public Library at Codman Square.

The FHM wishes to accommodate children with challenges. If your child has a disability, and she/he plans to participate in the Victorian Egg Hunt, please call the Museum before Friday, 27 March to notify our staff.
