Shot Milton firefighter loses job

The firefighter who was shot in an incident on a Quincy street in December has lost his job.

Joseph Fasano, 30, was fired Friday by Fire Chief John Grant for insubordination and conduct unbecoming a firefighter, Town Administrator Kevin Mearn said. (Read the full story here.)

Bullying in Milton

This past week Governor Patrick signed antibullying legislation into law. Some advocated describe this legislation as the toughest in the country. The Massachusetts legislature was propelled to act as a result of two tragic events that occurred as a result of unrelenting bullying.

We sat down with Superintendent Mary Gormley, Student Resource Officer Maria Poles, and Assistant Principal Alan Cron to discuss the issue of bullying in the Milton public schools.
