Similar to other pointless reality shows invading our society, MTV’s “Jersey Shore” has generated its own following. The majority of the viewers watch the show because of its absurd cast which consists of eight Italian Americans. It is almost like watching a car accident about to occur; one wants to get as far away as possible however something lures one in because of the forthcoming mayhem.

Yohannes Bayu, Director of African Refugee Development Center, to give talk
Yohannes Bayu, Director of African Refugee Development Center of Israel will be speaking at the First Congregational Church, 483 Canton Ave, on Frisay, February 26th @ 7:30pm.

MyTownMatters pilots program on Milton Cable
Last night we premiered a new program on Milton Access TV.
It’s called MyTownMatters. . . of course and it is (hopefully) a bi-weekly broadcast focusing on the issues, events, and people that mater to Milton. The first program is an interview with Pete Jackson, Chairman of the Planning Board.
The show airs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at 7:30pm and Mondays at 6:30pm.
Planning Board publishes Article 2 recommendation (Shalom zoning overlay)
The Planning Board has published it’s recommendation regarding Warrant Article 2 (“Institutional /Commercial Development”) that is on the warrant for Special Town Meeting. Included in the document are: 1) Proposed Amendments to Proposed Subsection L of the article and 2) the Planning Boards report regarding the Blue Hill Ave. Institutional/Commercial Development Overlay District.
Cops Matter – part 1
Police officers do a lot of things no one knows about. Part of this is due to cops being cops. They are a profession that is modest by nature. They are just doing their job. But there are times when they go beyond the call of duty. There are times when as with all professions individuals not only do their job but they do it really, really well.
We want acknowledge them and thank them.
