Temple Shalom to host Open House

Temple Shalom of Milton will hold an Open House for prospective members at the same time that it celebrates the conclusion of another successful Religious School year with a Kosher barbecue on Sunday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to noon. The Open House will be at the Temple’s interim religious school site at the Pierce Middle School, 451 Central Avenue, and all interested families in the South Shore and Greater Boston area are invited to attend.

Temple Shalom Celebrates the Holiday Season

As the fall Jewish holiday season approaches, Temple Shalom of Milton invites interested individuals and families in the surrounding area to join us in observing and celebrating the various holidays. High Holiday services begin with Erev Rosh Hashanah on Sept.28th, under the direction of spiritual leader Rabbi Fred Benjamin and Cantor Saralee Shrell-Fox.

Temple Shalom of Milton and its Sisterhood installed new slates of officers and directors at its Annual Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 12, 2011. The meeting was held at the Temple’s new temporary spiritual home in the Great Hall of the First Congregational Church. Almost 100 members and friends attended the meeting and installation.
Temple Shalom to remain in town – a temporary home has been found!
Temple Shalom, which recently sought to redevelop their property in an effort to grapple with financial concerns and establish a home for the future, had to sell their land. But they are going to remain in Milton. The First Congregational Church will be opening their doors to the Temple and affording them a temporary home.
