You got to love a goat. They have those interesting eyes and love to stand on things. This goat spent some time up at the Milton Animal League. It was found at Unquity Rink; but our understanding is the goat now has a permanent home.
Democratic Town Committee to elect delegates to state convention
The Milton Democratic Town Committee will be meeting on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 to elect 20 delegates to the State Convention on June lst.
The State Convention will be held at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell Mass. This caucus and convention are great ways to get involved in the political process. You need to be a registered democratic to run as a delegate.

Planning Board to host Master Plan Visioning forum; public encouraged to attend

Milton community members are invited to a Public Visioning Forum on Saturday January 26th from 9 AM to noon at the Tucker Elementary School. The forum is one of the initiatives of the community planning process that the Town has embarked on to create a town-wide Master Plan. The Plan will help the town identify policies, regulations and initiatives needed to guide changes in the community.
Quick update on Town Administrator search

The Town Administrator search process is moving forward. An email communication with Mary McNamara, chair of the search committee provided an update. The committee received ~40 resumes in response to its ads. The committee is interviewing ~7 individuals.
Thoughts on tolls for Route 3, and a Braga Bridge forum
Milton resident and attorney Ned Corcoran is incubating an interesting idea that is getting some attention – putting a toll on Route 3. A recent post on the Boston.com blog Roads and Rails discusses the idea:
There’s plenty of opinion on a new idea to try to relieve congestion on Route 3. A full discussion on that lies under the cut. Also, if you’re a commuter on the Braga Bridge, there’s a meeting coming up that you can attend to get your two cents in about a second wave of construction that’ll be starting up in a few months. Good morning: Last week we sent an advisory about several housebreaks. The vehicle may be an older Toyota sedan, color GREY. Today is Monday and weekdays during work hours have been prime times for these crimes. Please talk with your neighbors, especially any who are home during the day.
Milton Youth Lacrosse registration is now open – info night 1/8
Milton Youth Lacrosse is now registering players (girls and boys in grades 1-8) for the spring 2013 season.Registration will be open until January 15th. All levels and first time players are encouraged to sign up. There will be an information/Equipment night on Tuesday January 8th from 6:30 – 8:00 at Cunningham Hall.
