News release from the Milton Planning Board
Milton community members are invited to a Public Visioning Forum on Saturday January 26th from 9 AM to noon at the Tucker Elementary School. The forum is one of the initiatives of the community planning process that the Town has embarked on to create a town-wide Master Plan. The Plan will help the town identify policies, regulations and initiatives needed to guide changes in the community.
The Town has retained the services of Brown Walker Planners to complete Phase One of the Master Plan focusing on creating a “community vision” and identifying “key issues” the town is facing. Working with the Town, the Master Plan Committee, and community members, the consultant team will help the community come together to discuss and make plans for its future.
On Saturday, January 26th the Town will host a visioning forum at the Tucker Elementary School. The consultant team will report on preliminary findings related to population trends, housing issues, commercial districts, transportation and other issues and will lead forum participants in a series of activities designed to solicit input. This will be an important opportunity for residents, business owners and other stakeholders to learn more about the Master Plan and share any thoughts and concerns they have regarding how Milton may adapt to meet its current and future needs. Refreshments will be provided and child care is available.
