Viewers of the last Selectmen’s meeting may not have received the decision they had all been waiting for: whether Annmarie Fagan would be one of the two finalists regarding the selection of a new Town Administrator; but the Selectmen did discuss several issues and there was quite a crowd on hand to voice their concerns regarding them. And there were the Girl Scouts.
Milton rolls on in MIAA Bball tournament play; beat Tech Boston Dorchester 53-50

If you didn’t believe in the Milton Wildcats Basketball team before you have to believe in them now. Who is afraid of this team – “Everyone”. I can’t believe how this team systemically broke down Dorchester and turned the game around to a win. Wow.
Milton will take on Wellesley in the MIAA South Division 2 semi-finals in Brockton on 3/6 @ 7:00PM.
Wildcats in MIAA south quarterfinals
Milton (#15) prevailed over Dennis-Yarmouth (#2) in a big upset this week. They play Tech Boston/Dorchester #7) in the quarterfinals today at 6:00PM. The game will be at the Reggie Lewis Center. The Board of Selectmen have deferred their decision to narrow the Town Administrator candidates from 4 to 2. They had hoped to make the decision last night but have put it off.
A reason was not given; however, it is likely due to a background materials/reference checks not being received. The Selectmen noted on Monday that selecting 2 finalists had been dependent on that.
Pierce Middle School to Hold Information Night

Carrick Realty is appealing the decision of the town to order the demolition of the Hendries building. They want the demolition order nullified and are seeking damages. The Board of Selectmen is meeting in executive session this evening to discuss the matter.

Today, I announce my candidacy for a seat on the Milton School Committee.
What are my qualifications? Like many of you, I’m a product of a public school system. Raised in Holden, MA and Simsbury, CT. Attended college at the University of Michigan (where I met Mary, my wife of 30 years). After getting married, we moved to Boston in 1985 and Milton in 1998. We have three children who have or are currently attending the Milton Public Schools.
