Carrick Realty is appealing the decision of the town to order the demolition of the Hendries building. They want the demolition order nullified and are seeking damages. The Board of Selectmen is meeting in executive session this evening to discuss the matter.
Mill Creek has filed a pre-application with the Massachusetts Housing Finance Authority. The public comment period has commenced and will go for 30 days. The Housing Finance Authority will review the pre-application for 30 days and issue a letter that either approves the application or not. Assuming it is approved the next step would be to file for a comprehensive permit. Neighbors of the proposed development which is on Brush Hill Road across from Fuller Village have voice concerns including but not limited to the size of the development (~300 apartment units), the environmental impacts, and the increase in traffic on Brush Hill Road.
There was a sizable film crew out on Highland Street today. Trucks, cars, cables, cameras, etc etc at a home across the street from Milton Hospital. We spoke to a lighting technician who said they were filming a commercial for the hospital. “So . . . Bradley Cooper isn’t in there somewhere?,” we asked. “No, ” we were told,” just a single actor flipping the pages of a book.” . . . Oh. . . no Jennifer Garner, no Bradley Cooper.
Well, it was quite a crew. The lighting tech explained that they high a pretty high production level (e.g. 3 people on a camera.) plus agency people plus . . .
It’s good to see BIDMilton making the investment in marketing and advertising and doing it locally.
