St. Michael’s Episcopal Church Will Hold Benefit Concert for Earthquake Victims in Haiti

As part of the parish’s ongoing music series, the Proteus Consort will perform a selection of trio sonatas by German composers Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frederic Handel on period instruments. The Consort is a classical music ensemble know for it breathtaking and riveting performance in the greater Boston area.

All event proceeds will go to the Church of the Holy Spirit in Mattapan’s “Haitian Earthquake Relief through Partners and Hope Fund”. The Church of the Holy Spirit created this fund in the days after the earthquake that displaced, injured and killed over one million individuals. All ticket holders will automatically be enrolled in a raffle. Prizes consist of two Red Sox tickets, a $100 gift certificate to Kinnealey’s Meats, and a gourmet food basket from South End Formaggio.

Prior to the April 25th evening concert, the St. Michael’s Choir Council has collaborated with 88 Wharf, Milton Village’s riverfront restaurant, to offer a prix fixe dinner from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. 88 Wharf has agreed to donate a portion of the dinner’s proceeds to the Church of the Holy Spirit’s Haitian Relief Fund.

Individuals wishing to purchase tickets at a suggested donation of $15 are invited to call 617-698-1813. Tickets will also be available for sale at the door the evening of the event.
