Winter Fest Judges

Despite bone chilling temperatures, more than 200 people turned out to thumb their nose up at Mother Nature at the 4th Annual Blue Hills Winter Fest Tuesday night. Sponsored by the Friends of the Blue Hills and Blue Hills Ski, the event featured piping hot chili, foot-stomping Irish music, beer, winter crafts and discounted skiing.

William Raveis Real Estate was a sponsor of this year’s Winter Fest, and The Plate was a new entrant in the chili cook off.  Suzanne Lombardi’s popular recipe for Red Bean Pork Chili won the prize for “Best Use of a Secret Ingredient”  and narrowly lost a run-off election after a tie for the “Judge’s Choice” award.
