On Saturday, January 31 from 1 to 4:30pm, the Milton Public Library teen department welcomes avid Magic: The Gathering players Jon Rosa and Ross Gavlin in a Magic Draft card game. Mr. Rosa and Mr. Gavlin will be moderating this event to ensure that current rules of the game are followed by all players. Mr. Rosa has also agreed to play the winning player in the final match! Come check it out! This program is open to teens in grades 6 to 12. Space is limited. Advance registration is recommended. Register at the library’s website www.miltonlibrary.org. All players must currently own a deck to compete with and must be mostly up-to-date on the rules of the game. Admission is free.
What is Magic: The Gathering? Magic is a tradable card game (TCG) where you build your collection of cards by trading with your friends, assembling decks of cards, and battling against an opponent and their deck. You cast powerful spells and summon monstrous creatures aiming to knock your opponent down from 20 life to zero. The game is constantly changing as new cards are released throughout the year. As you get new cards, whether from these new sets or through trading with your friends, you can continuously update your decks and discover a whole new game!
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library. For more information on this and other teen events at the Milton Public Library, please contact Amy Rosa, Young Adult Librarian, at (617)-698-5757 or aboivin@ocln.org.
