Opposites Attract: Classical Meets Jazz – Valentine’s Day Weekend

What would you do if you heard that a world champion musician was performing in Milton?  Someone who has also performed at the White House on four different occasions?  And what if this musician was collaborating in a concert with one of the leading singers in the Boston area to present a special Valentine’s Day program?

If this sounds interesting to you maybe you should check out the next concert in the Milton Community Concert series: “Opposites Attract: Classical Meets Jazz”, featuring jazz accordionist Cory Pesaturo and classical soprano Bethany Worrell.  This concert will take place on Sunday afternoon, February 8th at 4:00 at First Parish Church of Milton (535 Canton Avenue).

Cory has the distinction of being the only person to have ever won separate world championships at competitions for digital, acoustic, and jazz accordion.  Bethany has received acclaim as a classical singer in recital and on the opera stage, most recently singing with the Pittsburgh Opera Theater in a production of ARIADNE AUF NAXOS by Richard Strauss.  While Cory is known for jazz and Bethany for classical, both love to cross over, making for a fascinating collaboration.

Tickets for this concert at $20 (no advance sales) and 18-and-under are free.  For more information visit miltoncommunityconcerts.com.
