This Boston Business Journal story, The cities and towns with biggest property tax bills in Massachusetts, came through our news feed the other day but is dated 9/11/14. Regardless, the article is a good resource as Milton enters its budget season. Based on BBJ’s analysis Milton ranks 39th in the list of towns with the highest tax bill. Here is a snapshot of Milton’s numbers.
And the 5 th highest average water and sewer bill from the MWRA!
In 1991 Milton ranked 22nd in the state.
In fact, we were in the low 30’s in rank throughout the 1990’s.
