Plymouth photographer Ronald Wilson will display his work in the Wotiz Gallery of the Milton Public Library during the month of October. His exhibit is called: “Return to Ireland.” Travel with him as he explores the west coast of Ireland from a gorse filled valley in Glen Columbkille in County Donegal to a pine island in Derryclare Lough in Connemara and a coral beach in Carroroe on County Galway. Mr. Wilson produced exhibition quality prints in his darkroom for nearly 30 years, and now his images are digitally printed on Fuji Crystal Archive material. The close contact with nature that he experiences through photography has made him intimately aware of the expressive potential of the landscape and it is those qualities that reveal something about the subject he seeks to convey in his photography. Through the creative use of the elements of line and texture, color and shape, he hopes to absorb the viewer in the aesthetic qualities found in a palette of lichen clinging to a granite boulder, pond lilly pads floating in the still reflection of fall foliage, or a windblown ridge of a sand dune etched sharply against a cloudless blue sky. The artist has shown his work since 2004 all over Massachusetts and New England, and can be reached at his 6 Main Street Extension Studio, Plymouth, MA (508) 732-0170 or you may visit his website: www.rwilsonphoto.com Please come and enjoy this beautiful display during October and there will be an open reception in the gallery onThursday, October 16th from 6-8 PM.
