I am officially announcing my candidacy for Re-election as Library Trustee and would appreciate your support and vote on April 29.
Our newly renovated library celebrates its 5th birthday this month. It has come a long way since 2009; the new building, new director and staff have brought many great services and programs to the Milton community. Our library usage and circulation have increased almost every month since the renovation.
I want to help guide the library’s continued success by working with the Director, Trustees and other town departments to obtain town resources in support of the Library’s building and programs, participate in updating the long term strategy and support continued technology advancements.
As Treasurer of the Trustees for the past three years, I renegotiated the Kidder contract and led our move to a new investment management firm to oversee the Trustee funds. I am a Town Meeting Member (9 yrs.), served on the Warrant committee and have been Treasurer of East Congregational Church, MHS Boosters and Pierce PTO. The skills I obtained in municipal finance, management and technology and the experience of the last three years learning Library Operations and developing relationships with the Director and fellow Trustees will serve me well in collaborating to expand our library programs, encourage community use of the building and guide the ongoing care and maintenance of our beautiful, new facility.
If elected, I will serve willingly, responsibly and creatively for all the citizens of Milton. I respectfully request one of your three votes on April 29.
Great news that Kris is running for re-election! She has my enthusiastic support.
Kristine Hodlin has the experience and temperament to continue to serve the Library community in a meaningful and effective manner. Temperament and experience can also be attributed to Frank Schroth and John Folcarelli who are also candidates for the 3 positions as Library Trustee.

Kris Hodlin is bright and will continue to do a great job for our library. Thank you Kris for running for office. You have my vote Kris.
