Milton Performing Arts presented the second annual Milton Elementary Musicians Festival on March 15, 2014. The Milton Young Musicians Festival, now in its 28th year, invites students from sixth grade and up to participate in an adjudicated performance environment. Lynn Salmonsen, Director of the Young Musicians Festival, perceived a need for an event which would provide a supportive opportunity for younger music students to work one-on-one with an experienced coach and then perform a selection for an audience in a more formal environment.
Twenty-eight students participated in the 2014 Festival, which was hosted by East Congregational Church in East Milton. The day was divided into three sets, each with 9 or 10 students. Shown are the participants from each session.
