Colon & Rectal Surgeon, Thomas Cataldo, M.D., Joins the Staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton

“We are excited to be expanding our surgical offerings with the addition of Dr. Thomas Cataldo to our medical staff,” said President and CEO, Peter Healy. “Dr. Cataldo is a talented physician, with a broad range of academic and clinical experience, and his services will greatly benefit the local patient community.”

Dr. Cataldo treats patients with conditions of the colon and rectum. He specializes in the use of minimally invasive techniques to care for patients with colorectal cancers, diverticulitis and Crohn’s disease.

Dr. Cataldo received his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he also completed his internship and residency. He completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. Prior to joining BID-Milton and BIDMC, Dr. Cataldo was the program director of colon and rectal surgery at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, RI. He also served as Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Providence Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Providence, RI. Dr. Cataldo is board certified in colon and rectal surgery.
