All are invited to join the East Congregational Church community for a celebration of our lives in words and music.
Our community is filled with countless stories that help us to understand our diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences. “Open at the East” seeks to look for the thread that connects us together in a common human bond.
The evening’s theme will be “Beginnings.” The program will consist of locally-grown stories and music which will provide a shared understanding of our world and help us define who we are at this time and place.
The event will include:
- Invited guests from the local community, including John Finely from Dorchester’s Epiphany School and Denis Kohane, Milton Selectman
- Full Turn Band (Acoustic) http://fullturnband.com
- A segment for guests to tell a five-minute story. (If you are interested in participating in the storytelling portion of the evening, please email us atopen-at-east@eastchurch.org to sign up.) If we have more storytellers than time permits, we will draw names at random to fill our available time.
- Desserts and refreshments from the Milk & Honey Baking Collaborative
