Is your child getting ready to go to kindergarten? If so, MECA invites you to attend Kindergarten: Your child’s next big step presented by Cheryl Render Brown, Assoc. Professor of Education of Wheelock College on Weds, February 5, 2014 from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Discovery Schoolhouse 101 Blue Hills Parkway, Milton (former Kidder Library building).

MECA is pleased to, once again, sponsor this information session for parents of children who are old enough to enter kindergarten in the upcoming school year. While Ms. Brown will not be speaking about Milton schools specifically, she will offer parents suggestions to keep in mind when approaching this very important milestone:

• Is my child ready – academically, socially and emotionally?
• What behavioral changes can I expect?
• What can I do to make the transition easier for both my child and me?
