Congratulations athletes and coaches! Milton High School Crew participated in the Mass. Public School Rowing Assoc. Fall Championship on Sunday, Oct. 27 at beautiful Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. What an amazing way to end the Fall 2013 Season!
MHS Crew are the STATE CHAMPIONS in the boys’ Varsity coxed 4 and VICE-CHAMPIONS in the girls’ Varsity coxed 4. The boys’ varsity 8 came in 5th place and the girls’ varsity 8 came in 5th place. The girls’ novice 8 came in 17th place and the boys’ novice 8 came in 12th place.
Milos Nikolic, Program Director for Friends of Milton Crew, had this to say “Today was a great day for Milton crew. We should be proud of all the hard work that our rowers did this season. The fall season has been a great stepping stone for the 2014 spring season. I expect to have even better results in the spring. The goal is to send at least one boat to the National Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. We want to go there and fight for a medal. Who could tell that we would be in this position just 2 short years ago… Dedication, Determination and Discipline are the core values of our team. A big thank you to our coaching staff and parents. Without your continuous and dedicated support our program would never be where it is right now.”
