Attorneys for the town have asked that the Norfolk County Superior Court rule on a dispute with previous town administrator Kevin Mearn rather than push the case to a jury trial. The request for summary judgment was made in early October, but a hearing on the matter will most likely not be held for several weeks, said John Flynn, an attorney with Murphy, Hesse, Toomey, & Lehane.
