Notice from the Milton Police Department – from MPD Facebook page
For the last two weeks detectives have been conducting surveillance on an individual who they had developed good information about. This suspect is believed to be responsible for several breaks in town. Detectives initially had a Neponset Ave, Dorchester address and later determined he had moved, staying with a family member on Stoughton Terrace in Dorchester. Detective Gennese Seaton along with other detectives put a plan in place to follow this suspect in an effort to learn his routine and possibly catch him committing a break-in. Thursday, Detective Louis Bullard was in Dorchester and observed this subject pull up in a brown sedan. The subject then left his house alone in this car. Detective Bullard believed that he may be using this car to commit B&Es. His hunch turned out to be correct. The investigation led to the Town of Sharon where he observed him pulling into several driveways and then park the car and walk to a residence. The Sharon police were notified. Subsequently, the Sharon Police placed this offender under arrest for attempted B&E and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
Although this crime did not happen in Milton, this investigation and subsequent arrest may have prevented some B&Es from occurring and certainly should deter this individual from breaking into any more houses in Milton. while this is a very good example of some very fine police work, we ask that residents continue to be attentive to your homes and vehicles.
