Gabriella Minos ’15 (left) of West Roxbury and Kathryn Meschino ’15 (right) of Hull prepare to present the gifts at the Fontbonne Academy Opening Liturgy on September 5.  The Mass was celebrated by Father Brian Conley, Jesuit rector at Boston College High, who challenged the Fontbonne community to recognize that we are all called to leadership; not the type of leadership that means standing out ahead of others and directing them, but the leadership that comes from being a model and an example for others to follow. Student leaders were then recognized and commissioned during the ceremony, including those from the following groups:  Peer Education, Peer Mentoring, Service and Justice Leadership Council, Peer Ministry Leadership Council and Retreat Leadership.  The Liturgy ended with a rousing rendition of “This Little Light of Mine,” a perennial Fontbonne favorite.
