This fall, the Milton Public Library will host a series of creative writing workshops for teens and pre-teens in grades 6-12. The four-part series begins Monday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. and will be followed by three more on Oct. 21, Nov. 4, and Dec. 17. The workshops will led by author Kathryn Burak. Ms. Burak is a Milton resident, a teacher at Boston University, the poetry editor at YARN (yareview.net), and the author of the Edgar Award-nominated young adult novel, Emily’s Dress and Other Missing Things. The workshop will focus on tips and techniques for writing fiction.
Admission to the workshops is free. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library. For more information on this and other teen events at the Milton Public Library, please contact the Milton Public Library at miref@ocln.org or 617-698-5757 x3.
