Correction: an earlier version of this post reported that Ms. Everett and Ms. Tuitt were absent from the event. They were present.
Dan Cullinane the Democratic nominee running for the 12th Suffolk district seat, which represents Milton Precincts 1 and 2, is not taking anything for granted. He was recently featured prominently at a Democratic Unity event that included Governor Deval Patrick, Senator Ed Markey, Atty General Martha Coakley, Congressman Capuano, and State Senators Joyce and Forry as well as Governor’s Councilor Bob Jubinville and Milton Selectman Denis Keohane. All endorse Mr. Cullinane.
There are two independents running against Cullinane for the seat. They are Mattapan’s Lincoln Larmond and Milton’s Edmond Romulus. We have not heard anything from the two independents. Mr. Romulus Facebook page can be found here and Mr. Larmond’s web site is here,
While the officials on hand endorsed Mr. Cullinane, The Dorchester Reporter noted that there wasn’t unanimous unity. Cullinane’s opponents on the Democratic primary, Stephanie Everett and Marydith Tuitt, while present at the event, did not endorse Mr. Cullinane. You can find the story here.
Regardless, Cullinane’s campaign has significant momentum and he seems to possess the power of an incumbent. You can find Cullinane’s campaign site here.
Time is running out for Larmond and Romulus to step it up.
