The Milton Cultural Council board invites individuals and non-profit organizations interested in applying for financial grants for creative and cultural projects to an information meeting Wednesday, September 11 at the Milton Public Library. The meeting will be held in the Keyes Room from 7 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and the meeting will begin and end promptly.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the efforts of the MCC to support the arts in Milton. The granting application process will be explained. Applications are due October 15, 2013 delivered to the Selectmen’s Office, Milton Town Hall. Postmark must be before October 15. The MCC will be allotted $5,850.00 for grants in 2014.

In the 2012-2013 year $6,296.00 was given out in grants to (supply number) local organizations and individuals for purposes as diverse as flower arranging and drama presentations in the elementary schools. The grant money is provided by the Massachusetts Council for the Arts, a government agency.
