Reminder: Wakefield Estate Offers Preview of Open Days Program of Milton Gardens

On Thursday, May 23, at 7:00pm at the Milton Public Library, Wakefield Estate Landscape Director Debbie Merriam will provide a sneak preview of the Milton gardens that will be open to the public on June 8th as part of The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days, a nationwide garden preservation program.

This year, the Mary M. B. Wakefield Charitable Trust has partnered with The Garden Conservancy to organize “the Greater Boston Area Open Days” on Saturday, June 8. The local Open Days program will feature the Wakefield Estate and four other outstanding Milton gardens. For more information about Open Days, call the Wakefield Estate at 617-333-0924. Garden preservation lies at the core of The Garden Conservancy’s mission to preserve America’s exceptional gardens for the education and enjoyment of the public. In the effort to increase public knowledge about the importance of these historic landscapes, hundreds of exceptional gardens nationwide are selected to participate in The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program.
