Police make narcotics arrest

Notice from Milton Police Department

On Saturday evening, Officer Joe Fahey on a routine patrol check of the BI Deaconess/Milton Hospital Lot, observed a black SUV parked in a remote section of the property. The rear window was smashed out. As Officer Fahey approached, the car tried to leave. During his intital encounter, he detected obvious evidence of Class A narcotics.

One of the occupants, a male from Braintree, fled the car into the woods towards Canton Ave. Numerous units responded creating a large perimeter. Officer Larry Lundrigan and his partner K9 Hunter, initiated a search from the vehicle. This continued across Canton Ave into the neighborhoods at the rear of Town Hall. Within a short time, K9 Hunter detected and apprehended this subject hiding in a rear yard on Capen St. He had warrants from multiple agencies for his arrest. All of the officers involved (Pires, Bennett, Potts and Sgt. Caputo) in this incident did a commendable job ensuring the apprehension of this wanted individual.
