Tonight: Ancestry.com expert Michael Brophy to speak at MPL

The 1940 Census, publicly released in April 2012, chronicled the Great Depression into World War II.  It is the first census that listed the informant, employment questions, and 1935 residence.  Find out what population figures revealed about the 1940’s.  Learn the basics for using the census, ancestry.com, and other tools to maximize personal research.  Michael Brophy is the founder of Brophy Professional Genealogy and Heir Tracing in Abington.  He is a columnist and lecturer in the Boston area, and a member of several genealogical societies.  Admission is free and this event is sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Public Library.  Contact Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, for more information at (617) 698-5757.
