Talk about mixed emotions! But the first day back to school is like that . . . full of a little anxiety, excitement, and for some a certain je ne sais quoi. Note that there is no school Fri of this week. Please click “Read more” for remarks from Superintendent Gormley and more.
Ms. Gormely had this to say in a recent email blast to parents et al regarding the opening of school:
. . . For all of our students the start of the school year is a chance to experience new ideas, create new friendships, and achieve new goals.
As parents, guardians, educators and administrators, we all contribute in different ways to
achieve our districts’ core value of high academic achievement and success for every student. We cannot achieve our goals without working collaboratively and taking care of each other. In that respect, we work together like pieces of a puzzle that fit together. Only when we work together do we create a picture that is full, complete, and accomplished.
