Notice from the DPW
The MWRA work in Dorchester/Lower Mills has created discolored water in the Town of Milton.

If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. While it is still safe for drinking, cooking and other uses, please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Therefore, residents near this location should check water clarity before washing any white or lighter colored laundry during this period of work.

At this time the discolored water is expected to clear from the Milton Water System by late this afternoon.
