The Forbes House Museum will host an Open House Reception and Holiday Concert featuring the music of Calliope on Saturday, 10 December 2011, beginning at 4pm.
Calliope Music Director, Juila O’Toole, says, “Our members are getting in the spirit with extra rehearsals this week. We plan to perform in formal concert dress, brightening things up with red, green, silver or gold accents.”
From 4-6pm, the Forbes House Museum will be brilliantly decorated for the holiday season, featuring fresh flower arrangements and greenery courtesy of the Milton Garden Club, the Milton Amateur Garden Club and Cedar Grove Nursery. Musical performances by the Milton High School String Quartet, Jazz Combo and Christmas Carolers will fill the Museum galleries with holiday cheer. Visual Artist, Tsun Ming Chmielinski, will display and sell watercolor paintings created in a style of her native China.
At 6:30pm, the festivities move to St. Michael’s Church, Randolph Avenue, where thirty singers and instrumentalists from Calliope will offer a concert of holiday music including:

After the concert, Abby Park Restaurant in East Milton Square will offer a discount of $20.00 for dinner purchases over $50.00 to ticket holders. This offer is good for the evening on 10 December only.
Tickets for the entire evening are $25 per person for members; $30 for non-members; $75 for a member family four pack; $80 for a non-member family. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event, however space is limited.
