Chris Huban bids the School Committee “Adieu”

The School Committee met yesterday but the most important issue was not on the agenda.  A gathering of school officials and staff gathered to honor Chris Huban who is leaving the school committee after 12 years of service. Lynda Lee Sheridan, the current chair, tired to do the math on how many hours Huban has put into the schools during that time. It’s been a lot.

Past committee members joined the current ones in paying tribute to Chris, his achievements, and his dedication to the schools.

Beirne Lovely noted that Huban was an “absolute supporter of French Immersion.” Another past school committee member, Paul Hogan remarked of his time on the committee saying, “The thrill for me was to serve with Chris.”

Thank you Chris! For all you time and energy and may Godspeed as you sail on!
