McEttrick to bow off Board of Selectmen – who’s up?

Anyone with an active interest in local Milton politics has been asking for some time: What will Marion McEttrick do? Yesterday, as reported in yesterday’s Milton Times, Ms. McEttrick answered that question. She has chosen not to seek re-election to the Board of Selectmen this spring.

So the natural question on many people’s minds is: Who is going to run?

Will Kathy Fagan make another run at it after her very tight loss to Bob Sweeney last year?

Will James Mullen, the Town Clerk, one time Selectman, and strong Sweeney supporter take another go?

Will the town see someone currently serving on the School Committee, Planning Board, Library Trustees or other town board or committee take the plunge?

Here’s to hoping that two or three residents decide to throw their hat in the ring and make for a vigorus, healthy, contested race.

Meanwhile on the School Committee, Chris Huban has also chosen to take a break and not run for re-election. Ms Bagley-Jones who is also up for re-election will be running according to the Milton Times.
