Brief bits: update on Stoughton RFP, Cons Fac candidates down to three

The RFP that the Board of Selectmen have been working on for proposals from developers for the Governor Stoughton land should be finalized at the board’s next meeting on Wednesday, February 2nd. Note the meeting is on Wednesday not Thursday due to to a scheduling conflict.

The Consolidated Facilities Committee has been interviewing candidates for the position of director of the new department. The group interviewed 18 candidates and three have been selected for a final interview process. They are Bill Ritchie, currently facilities director for the Milton Public Schools, John Crompton of Wrentham, and Frederick Yule of Plymouth. The final interview will be conducted by Mary Gormley, Superintendent of Schools, Town Administrator Kevin Mearn, Consolidated Facilities chair, Tony Cichello and a member of the school committee and board of selectmen. The interviews will be held at a public meeting on February 14th in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall.
