Copeland Foundation makes grants Milton Public Schools in support of security & facilities

At a recent meeting of the school committee it was announced that the Copland Family Foundation had made two grants to the Milton Public Schools.

At their meeting on May 19th the board voted to grant $25,000 to be used “specifically toward the camera/security system at Milton High School.” School Committee member Denis Keohane reported at the school committee meeting that the installation was approximately 80% complete. He also noted that the project was only $454 over budget, which for  a $300,000 job as not bad.

At the same meeting the Copland board also granted $47,900 to cover the salary and health insurance of a Field House Manager. This person helps coordinate the use of the facility by outside groups.
