MHS Athletic Hall of Fame to induct new members

Wildcat athletes from the 1930’s to the 1990’s will be celebrated at the Copeland Field House during a ceremony hosted by the Milton High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame group, which works to honor past student-athletes from Milton High School, will unveil a series of plaques in the lobby of the high school’s field house at 5:30 p.m. This will be followed by a cocktail party, dinner and induction ceremony to be held at Lantana in Randolph starting at 6:30pm.on Saturday, October 23 for a ceremony hosted by

This year’s student-athlete inductees are: Fred Bortoloti (1942); Donald Giles (1939); Dudley O’Leary (1954); Jeffrey Sullivan (??); Steve Poelaert (1974); Mark Arnold (1984); Joe Bianculli (1991); Kevin Bligh (1988); Jean Mazzotti Courtney (1988); Jennifer Duggan Korn (1995); Gerry Harran (1986); Greg Lovely (1997); Greg McTigue (1990); and Kate Moynihan (1996).

Also being inducted are Karen Duggan McLaughlin (coach); the entire 1963 Football Team; and the entire 1996 Boys Basketball Team.

Mike Goodless, chairman of the board of the MHSAHOF, noted that this class of inductees “is an extremely impressive and highly deserving group [that] spans decades of Milton High School athletic tradition and accomplishment from the class of 1939 to the class of 1997.”

In addition to the inductions, the MHSAHOF will give Chairman’s Awards to Ed Baker; and Lloyd & Steven Wilkie for their contributions to Milton sports programs.

The Milton High School Athletic Hall of Fame was created in 2007 to honor the achievements of the student-athlete alumni of Milton High. This is the fourth annual Induction Ceremony. For more information on this group, please visit their website here.
